Plus de 300 films et séries en DVD, produits par Warner Bros entre 2006 et 2008, en Zone 1, sont devenus illisibles.

Si il est encore possible, aujourd’hui, de lire les DVD avec des lecteurs Blu-ray ou certaines consoles de jeux, certaines galettes présentent pourtant un défaut qui les rendent inutilisables.
Selon le site JoBlo, il en va ainsi de quasi tous les DVD produits par la Warner Bros, entre 2006 et 2008. Ce défaut technique, connu sous le nom de «laser rot», entraîne une dégradation prématurée des couches d’un DVD, le rendant illisible. Il faut encore préciser que c’est la Zone 1 qui est concernée. Mais beaucoup de collectionneurs en possèdent sous nos latitudes et les regardent sur des lecteurs multizones.
Plus de 300 films et séries sont concernés. Toujours selon nos confrères, certains classiques en DVD sont touchés par ce problème technique, parmi lesquels «Les Sopranos», «2001: L’Odyssée de l’espace», «Les Évadés» ou encore «Blade Runner». Des films qui sont heureusement disponibles en Blu-ray ou sur les plateformes.
Warner Bros a annoncé s’engager à remplacer gratuitement tous les disques défectueux. Il faut pour le collectionneur lésé écrire à l’adresse suivante où sa demande sera traitée: [email protected].
